Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using this website (the "Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

2. About the Site

ShinyGrails.com is an independent Pokémon TCG shop. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Nintendo, Creatures Inc., Game Freak, or The Pokémon Company.

3. Prices & currency

Prices are shown in the currency displayed on the Site. The price you pay is the one shown in your basket at checkout. Some values may be shown elsewhere as guide estimates and are not binding. We may correct obvious pricing errors before dispatch, and will let you know if we do.

4. Orders & payment

Placing an order is an offer to buy the selected item(s). A contract is formed when we confirm and/or dispatch your order. Each item is typically a single, unique product — if an item becomes unavailable, we will cancel that line and refund it.

Payment is taken securely at checkout via our payment provider (Stripe and/or PayPal). Your card details are entered directly with the provider and are never seen or stored by us.

5. Delivery

We deliver to the address you provide at checkout. Available delivery options and costs are shown before you pay. Estimated delivery times are indicative, not guaranteed. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. We currently only ship products to the United Kingdom

6. Cancellations & returns

If you are a consumer in the UK, you may have the right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations to cancel a distance purchase within 14 days of receiving it and return it for a refund, provided it is returned in its original condition. Your statutory rights regarding faulty or misdescribed goods are unaffected. The customer pays return postage, refund timescale is typically within 48 hours of returning to product in its original condition (we phot and document the condition of all items before they are dispatched.

7. Selling cards to us (buylist)

If you submit cards to sell to us, any offer we make is an estimate based on the details you provide and is subject to inspection once we receive the items. You confirm that you own the cards and are entitled to sell them. If you submit cards to sell to us ("buylist"), the following applies:

  • You provide a list of the items you wish to sell, together with their condition. We value each item by reference to its current market value — typically the average of the last three comparable sales on eBay — and make you an offer for each item (a percentage of that value).
  • Any offer is an estimate based on the information you provide and is subject to our inspection of the items once received. Offers are valid for 7 days; after that we may re-value the items before proceeding.
  • If you accept, you choose to be paid by PayPal or in store credit (store credit includes an additional bonus, shown at the time of the offer). You then send the items to us by post, or deliver them to the store in person.
  • Items remain your responsibility until they reach us and are checked in. We recommend a tracked, insured postal service; we are not liable for items lost or damaged in transit to us.
  • On receipt we assess each item for condition and authenticity. Raw-card condition is assessed at our reasonable discretion; graded items are checked against the grading company's certificate.
  • If items are as described, we process your payment or issue your store-credit coupon.
  • If an item is not as described, we will send you a revised offer to accept or decline. If you decline, we will return the item to you; return postage is at your cost. You confirm that you own the items you submit and are legally entitled to sell them.

    • 8. No warranty for the Site

    The Site and its content are provided "as is". We do not guarantee that the Site will be error-free, secure, or uninterrupted, or that all information (including prices and card details) is accurate or complete. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer in respect of goods you purchase.

    9. Intellectual property

    Card names and images are the property of their respective rights holders, including The Pokémon Company. The ShinyGrails.com name, branding, and original Site content are owned by us. You may not reproduce them without permission.

    10. Acceptable use

    • Do not use the Site for any unlawful purpose.
    • Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site or its systems.
    • Do not scrape, copy, or republish Site content without permission.

    11. External links

    The Site may link to external platforms (e.g. eBay or social media). We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of those third-party sites.

    12. Limitation of liability

    Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your statutory consumer rights). Subject to that, to the fullest extent permitted by law, ShinyGrails.com will not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the Site. [Adjust to your jurisdiction.]
