Lots of cards, or graded slabs
Sending lots of cards? Split the holders between a few bags, so each lies flat on its stiff card, and use a small box, padded so nothing can move.
Sending a slab? Put it in a soft bag so it can’t scratch, wrap it in bubble wrap, and post it in a small box. Two or more slabs always go in a box.
No sleeves or holders
Only for cards worth under £50 each: put them in a small clean bag, lay them flat between two pieces of stiff card a little bigger than the cards, and tape the card, never the cards.
Sleeves and holders cost a few pounds from card shops or online.
