Common questions
Is it free?
Yes. Getting an offer is free and you're never obliged to sell.
Which cards do you buy?
English cards worth £10 or more, and special cards from £5, such as Illustration Rare, Special Illustration Rare, Hyper Rare, Alternate Art, Gold Star and 1st Edition holo cards. See what we buy.
Do you buy old Pokémon cards?
Yes, if they’re worth £10 or more (special ones from £5). Cards made from 1999 to 2003 say “Wizards” in the tiny print at the bottom, and we buy them in Near Mint to Heavily Played. 1st Edition and Shadowless cards can be worth a lot more, so we price them by hand. Gold Star cards, from 2004 to 2007, have a small star after the Pokémon’s name. Old cards: what to look for.
Do you buy graded cards?
Yes: PSA, CGC, Beckett, ACE and TAG slabs graded 7 to 10, each priced by hand. You can’t add a graded card to a list, so send us a message first. Tell us the card, who graded it, the grade and the certificate number. Selling graded cards.
Do you buy sealed products?
Yes: booster boxes, Elite Trainer Boxes, tins and packs, still sealed. You can’t add them to a list, so send us a message with what you have and we’ll reply with an offer.
Do you buy Japanese cards?
Not right now. We only buy cards in English.
Do you buy played or damaged cards?
Played cards, yes, depending on when they were made. 1999–2003: Near Mint to Heavily Played. 2003–2011: Near Mint to Moderately Played. 2011 onwards: Near Mint to Lightly Played. We never buy damaged cards. How to judge condition.
Can I sell my whole collection?
Yes. Start with the special ones, then add the rest to one list and we’ll show you which we’d buy. A list holds up to 2,000 cards, and we buy up to 4 copies of each card. Very common cards usually sell for under £10, so you keep those. Got a big collection? Send us a message first: we can also arrange to meet in person.
What happens to cards you don't buy?
You keep them. Your offer shows which cards we're buying, and you only post those. If an extra card turns up in your parcel, we don't buy it, and you choose what happens to it.
How long does it take?
Your offer comes within 2 working days, and it’s yours for 7 days. Once you accept, you have 5 working days to post your cards (from the day your label arrives, if we send one). We check them within 3 working days of them arriving, then pay you within 1 working day. See the dates if you start today.
When do I get paid?
Within 1 working day of checking your cards, by bank transfer into an account in your own name. How payment works.
Who pays for postage?
We send a free tracked label on offers of £150 or more. Under £150, you post at your own cost and there’s no refund. Postage and insurance.
Is my parcel insured?
Yes, when you use our free label. If Royal Mail confirms it’s lost, we pay you the agreed price, up to the label’s insurance. Keep your proof of posting and, for parcels over £250, your packing video. Under £150 you post it yourself, so pick a tracked service that insures it for its value, as you’d make any claim yourself. Postage and insurance.
How do I post my cards safely?
Each card in a sleeve and a hard holder, held flat so nothing can bend.
- Put each card in a soft sleeve (penny sleeve). One card per sleeve.
- Slide it into a hard holder (toploader), sleeve opening first. The card can’t slip out. One card per holder.
- Put the holders together in a resealable bag. One bag for them all is fine. Never put tape on a card or sleeve.
- Tape the bag flat to a piece of stiff card. So nothing can bend or slide about.
- Post them in a padded envelope or a small box. It should fit snugly, so nothing can move.
- Write “DO NOT BEND” above the label. Royal Mail asks for this on anything that could bend.
- Add your packing slip. Only send the cards on it.
- Don’t write “Pokémon” or the value on the outside.
What if you disagree on condition?
We film every parcel. If a card isn’t as described, you choose: the new price, or have it posted back. No reply in 7 days? We pay the new price. Checking and changed offers.
Why lower than price apps?
Many price apps show US prices turned into pounds, and UK sale prices are often lower. We start from recent sale prices in Europe and the US for your card's exact version. We bring them to UK prices, adjust for condition, then make our offer. You're paid in pounds, postage is free on offers of £150 or more, and there's nothing to list, photograph for buyers or ship to strangers.
Can I change my mind?
Yes. Decline your offer, or send us a message to withdraw your list or cancel. It’s free until you post.
Do I have to be 18?
Yes. If you're younger, ask a parent or guardian to sell your cards for you.
Can I talk to someone?
Yes. Send us a message and we aim to reply within 1 working day. It’s worth doing first for a 1st Edition, Shadowless or graded card, or a list worth £500 or more.
